Ø There are ONLY 114 teams left in the competition, after this week-end competition.
Already qualify for round of 16’s are:
Zone C: Coomacka (linden) who defeated Bad Boys by 15 runs on Sunday Feb 14th.
Zone G: Leguan Super Stars (Wakenaam) who defeated Nazir XI by 54 runs
Zone H: Uplifting XI (Essequibo) who was the first to qualify for the round of 16, when they defeated Richmond Youths by 8 wickets
Zone I: Eldorado sports club (E’bo) who defeated United Bros Sports Club by 5 wkts
Zone J: Cotton Field (E’bo) defeated Affiance Sports Club by 6 wkts
Zone K: Charity Sports Club who qualified the week-end of the 6th Feb when they defeated Eagles Sports by 8 wkts.
Zone L: Port Mourant All Star (B’ce) defeated the Seven Eleven by 35 runs
Zone M: Crabwood Creek Unstoppables (East B’ce) defeated Race Course Sports Club by 5 wkts
Zone N: Memorex (B’ce) defeated West Canje Sports Club by 100 runs
Zone O: Canefield Sports Club defeated Betsy Ground Strikers by ONLY 2 runs
Zone P: D’Edward (West B’ce) Sports Club defeated Cotton Tree Cowboys by 64 runs
Other highlights:
Ø Uitvlugt Ground : Jeffrey of the Gaza XI team took 4 wickets in four balls.
Ø McKenzie Sports Club: Leon Mosley took a hat trick and ended with figures of 4-14
Ø Vincent Pompey with match figures of 4 wkts for 3 runs and also made 65 runs for Strathvon, unfortunately they lost in the next match to Unity.
Ø Marlon Bobb scored a half century 59 n.o. and took 2 wkts for 7 runs
Ø Mustafa Zaman scored 51 runs and 53 runs in their win of zone G.
Ø Joel Garnett scored 50 out of the team score of 63 at Scotsburg Ground to hand his team a spot in the round of 16.
Ø Glen Seubarran scored 72 runs and David Looknauth scored 58 runs for Memorex sports club who also booked a place in the round of 16
Ø Ian Abel scored 55 runs for D’ Edward sports.
